🐾 Help a heeler in a shelter

Choose what you’d like to do.

ACD / Blue Heeler / Red Heeler / Cattle Dog mixes only · Municipal/county/government shelters only

➕ Submit a New Dog

Add an at-risk Heeler that isn’t on the site yet.

Fastest (recommended): paste a shelter listing or Instagram post. We’ll automatically import the dog’s photo, shelter info, Animal ID, and available notes to build the profile, then email you when it’s ready to share.
Supported sources
Petfinder · Adopt-a-Pet · PetConnect · RescueMe · a shelter’s own dog page · Instagram
Don’t have one?
Rural shelters sometimes have no online listing. That’s okay — you can upload a photo and enter the shelter’s info for manual review. If possible, posting the dog on a public Instagram account first allows a much faster automatic import.
Who can be submitted?
  • Australian Cattle Dogs (Heelers) and mixes
  • Municipal/county/government shelters
  • Dogs at risk of euthanasia, including space-limited “No Kill” shelters

Please don’t submit a dog you know will never be in danger of euthanasia — post those in “Heelers for Rehoming” and similar Facebook groups instead.

🔗 Help Complete a Dog’s Profile

Have a Facebook, X, Instagram, Reddit, or Nextdoor post for a dog already on this site? Submit the link and we’ll review it before adding it to the dog’s profile, so everyone can follow the rescue effort in one place.

What we’re looking for
Required: the main networking post created by the shelter or the dog’s primary advocate.
Not needed: random reshares or duplicate posts that don’t add new rescue information.

➕ Submit a New Dog

Paste a shelter/adoption listing (Adopt-a-Pet, RescueMe, Petfinder, PetConnect, or the shelter’s own dog page) or an Instagram post. We read the photo, shelter, Animal ID, and any notes straight from it — and email you the share card when it goes live.

📎 Primary source — paste the shelter listing or Instagram post
What to paste: the dog’s page on Adopt-a-Pet, RescueMe, Petfinder, PetConnect, or your local shelter’s website — or an Instagram post of the dog. This is the fastest way to build a profile automatically.
If it’s an Instagram post: the dog’s details need to be in the caption. Our software reads captions automatically but cannot read comments — so a post whose write-up is in the first comment arrives here blank. If that’s the case, fill in the details below and we’ll build the card from those.

Don’t have a link? (rural shelters & photo-only dogs)

🔗 Add a Networking Link

Add another public post for a dog already on this site so everyone can follow the rescue effort in one place. We review every link before it appears on the dog’s profile.
